My practice is grounded in evidence-based therapies such as:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Helps individuals learn practical tools to develop more helpful thoughts and behaviors in order to ease anxiety and stress, build emotional resilience, and improve mood and quality of life.

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): Encourages flexibility and self-compassion, helping young people cope with difficult emotions, connect with their values, and focus on what matters to them.

  • Mindfulness-based strategies: Practices that help people stay present, build awareness, and calm the mind and body. These are tools that can help with emotional and physical stress.

  • GI-informed CBT: A specialized approach for children and teenagers with Disorders of Gut-Brain Interaction (DGBIs), such as chronic stomach pain and IBS. This therapy helps young people understand the mind-gut connection, manage symptoms, and improve quality of life.
